Air transportation of Nepal

Air transport is the quickest and most comfortable means of transport, and is expensive. In our country, air transport is second important means of transport, next to the road transport. There are many parts in our country where construction of road is almost impossible. such places can be linked with the airways transport. Airplane, helicopters, hot balloons, glider. etc come under this category.
Air transport is very important to develop tourism in Nepal. Nepal is very rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. Thus, air transport is most helpful in attracting tourist in our country.
The Nepal airlines corporation (NAC) started its services in 1958 AD. At present the NAC has its domestic as well as international services. some private companies are also running there services in Nepal.
Nepal has air service linked with different countries of the world like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Japan, France, Singapore, etc. At present there are about 44 airports and 97 helipads in Nepal. The one and only international airport of Nepal is Tribhuvan international airport. It is most busy airport of Asia.
There is a lot to be improved in airways of Nepal. Yearly many deadly accident has been seen before. The domestic airways is not safe in Nepal. we have many hilly regions so that it is difficult to take control over such condition.
Government of Nepal has recently added laws and efforts to make the airways safe and secure. Many tourist visit Nepal daily and airways is first priority for them.
